One Design

We are located at 101 in the H Q Building in Bandra East, Mumbai - 400051. It is a pretty easy place to find since we are right opposite the Collector Office. Being so close to the government offices is actually quite handy for us when we have to go back and forth for various approvals and paperwork. Our office isn't very large, but it’s enough for what we do. We have a couple of big tables where we can spread out all our sketches and site plans. It’s usually a bit of a jumble with pens, rulers, and coffee mugs everywhere. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. We are just a small group of designers trying to make sense of the spaces people live and work in. Bandra East is a busy part of Mumbai, and there is always something going on outside our window. We spend our days mostly on the computer or on the phone with suppliers. Sometimes things go wrong with a delivery or a measurement is slightly off, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just the nature of the job. We don’t have a fancy mission statement; we just try to get the drawings right so the builders don’t have any issues. It’s a lot of practical work and a lot of checking and re-checking. Most of our clients are people who just want a straightforward design without any unnecessary fluff or high costs. We just keep our heads down and focus on the current pile of work.
