Om Trading Company

Om Trading Company is tucked away at 48, 1st Khattar Gally. It’s right there in Nath Madhav Lane in the C.P. Tank area. If you’ve ever been to C.P. Tank, you know how narrow the lanes are. It’s a maze of shops and traders. Our place is an old one. The building has that classic Mumbai feel, where space is tight and every inch is used for storage. We trade in various goods and the stock is always changing. Some days the gally is so packed with handcarts and deliveries that you can barely walk through. It’s a noisy, energetic part of the city. We don't have a big reception area or fancy furniture. It’s just us, the ledgers, and the goods. We’ve known the other shopkeepers around here for decades. We drink tea from the same guy on the corner every afternoon. It’s a community of people just trying to get through the day's business. Sometimes the humidity makes the paper curly, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just a trading company in a busy market. If you’re looking for us, you might have to ask a few people because the signs are small, but we’re always here. The routine doesn't change much, and that’s just how we like it. There is always someone shouting in the lane or a bell ringing, but it's home.
