Our office is way up on the 8th floor of Maker Chamber III, over in Nariman Point. Rooms 85 and 86 are where we spend most of our waking hours. Being in Nariman Point is quite something, especially with the sea right there, though we mostly just see other office buildings from our windows. We handle a lot of tiles here, though the actual heavy lifting happens elsewhere. This office is for the planning, the sales, and the endless stream of paperwork that comes with running a tile company. The carpets are a bit worn out in the hallways because so many people walk through here every day. We have a lot of sample boards leaning against the walls, showing different colors and patterns. It can get a bit hectic when several phones are ringing at once and someone is trying to find a missing invoice. We eat our lunch at our desks most days, looking out at the Mumbai skyline. The elevators in Maker Chamber III are always busy, so we have to plan our trips downstairs carefully. We aren't trying to be the most modern office in the world; we just need a place that works. It is a lot of spreadsheets and meetings, but we try to keep things grounded. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and it feels like a second home to most of the staff here.
