Our place is in Mulund West, specifically on Dr. R.P. Road. We are in the Om Shivam Co-operative Housing Society, unit A-24. It is right across from the Municipal Hospital, so that is usually the landmark we tell people to look for. It is a busy road with a lot of people walking by to go to the hospital or the shops nearby. The office itself is part of an older society, so it has that solid, lived-in feel to it. We have been here for years and the walls could probably tell some stories. The room is filled with cupboards and old files that have accumulated over time. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when someone walks in through the door. The walk from the station is not too bad, maybe fifteen minutes if you walk fast and don't get stuck at the crossings. We usually get our tea from the shop at the corner of the society gate. It is a simple, practical work environment for everyone here. No big corporate meetings, just us sitting around and getting through the daily list of tasks one by one. Sometimes the hospital sirens are quite loud, but we have gotten used to it by now. It is just part of being in this section of Mulund. We keep the windows open for the breeze.
