Nile Offsets

If you find yourself in Mazgaon, near the old Anjeer Wadi, you’ll likely pass by Nile Offsets. We are at Plot No-14-A-B, right across from the Thakkar Industrial Estate Annexe. This part of town has a lot of history with small workshops and printing presses. Our place is full of the smell of ink and the constant rhythmic sound of the offset machines running. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know Dr. Mascarenhas Road, but we like the location. The floor is usually covered with stacks of paper and finished jobs waiting to be packed. We started out small and have just kept at it over the years. Our workers have been with us through many seasons. There is no air conditioning in the main workshop, so the ceiling fans are always spinning fast. We don’t have a fancy reception area. Usually, you’ll find one of us checking the color on a fresh sheet or fixing a paper jam. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We deal with a lot of local clients who just drop by to see how their jobs are progressing. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out by morning. It’s noisy and messy at times, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the final product come off the press. We just focus on getting the printing done right and keeping the machines in good shape for the next day.
