You’ll find Newreka Chemical over in Andheri West, specifically at 441, Laxmi Plaza on Newlink Road. If you know Mumbai, you know that Newlink Road is always packed with cars and bikes, especially during the rush hour. Our office is up in the plaza, away from the street noise, but you can still feel the energy of the city. We work on the chemical side of things, which involves a lot of technical talk and spreadsheets. The office is pretty standard—desks, computers, and a few filing cabinets that are overflowing with documents. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls, just a few calendars and some charts that we actually use. It’s a practical space for a practical business. We spend a lot of time talking to clients and making sure the logistics for the chemicals are handled correctly. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up waiting around and chatting with people from the other offices. It’s a nice mix of folks in this building. We don’t try to sound like we’re some huge corporation; we’re just a group of people trying to do a good job in a busy city. The rain can be a real pain during the monsoon, making the commute a struggle, but we always show up. It’s just the way life goes in Andheri, and we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years.
