Our place is at shop number 57 and 58 inside the New Sainath Market. It’s part of the Asha Maching Centre, so it’s usually pretty crowded with people looking for different things. The market is a noisy place, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We have two stalls joined together to give us a bit more room for the stock. It’s mostly just shelves filled with items and a small counter where we talk to customers. My wife and I run the place together, and sometimes our son helps out after his school is finished. We’ve been in this same spot for years, and we know the other shopkeepers around us quite well. We don't have a website or do any of that online stuff. People just walk in, find what they need, and we wrap it up for them. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. Sometimes the lights in the market flicker, or it gets too hot when the crowds are thick, but we don't mind much. We just keep the shop open and wait for the regulars to come by. It’s a lot of standing around and talking, but it’s a good way to earn a living. We aren't looking to expand or move; we like it here in the middle of the market. It’s a bit messy but it’s home.
