New Consolidated Construction Co Ltd is up on the 7th floor of the Vraj Apartment. It’s located in Vishnu Park, over in the Rawalpada area of Mumbai. This city is always loud and busy, but being up on the 7th floor helps us get a bit of peace. We spend most of our working hours looking at site plans and making endless phone calls to suppliers. Construction is a messy business, but we try our best to keep the office somewhat organized. It is really just a regular apartment that we use for our work. You won't find any big signs or flashy lights when you come to see us. We have been working out of this Dahisar area for a long time now. Getting to the various sites and back in this Mumbai heat is a real chore sometimes. Often, we are just sitting here waiting on deliveries or checking if the concrete trucks finally arrived. There is always a lot of noise coming from the street below. We just get on with it though. It is not an easy job at all. There are so many local regulations to deal with in this city. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, which makes getting to the 7th floor quite a workout. We are just a group of people who know how to build things. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just do the work. It is mostly about the materials and the labor.
