If you find yourself on Dr. E Moses Road near the Mahalaxmi Arch, that is where we are. Our shop, Neo Art N Glass Pvt. Ltd., is at 22/23. It’s a busy part of Mahalaxmi and the traffic outside never seems to stop. We spend our days surrounded by huge sheets of glass. It’s a bit of a messy business because there are always small offcuts and glass dust on the floor, no matter how much we try to keep it tidy. We do a lot of custom cutting for windows and mirrors. Sometimes people bring in frames and ask us to fit something special. We don't have a big showroom with fancy displays. Most of our work is done on the large padded tables in the back. The guys here have to be really careful because one slip means a broken sheet and a lot of wasted money. We’ve been at this location for years, and we know most of the glass suppliers in the city. It’s not a glamorous job. My hands are always covered in small nicks and scratches from the sharp edges. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone’s neighbor tells them about us and they show up with a piece of paper with measurements on it. We just measure twice, cut once, and hope the customer is happy with the fit. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until night.
