Neelam Technocrats is a small operation, and we mainly work through our digital connections. You won’t find a big glass building with our name on it; instead, we handle most of our business through the email address Kalpana Katam at Rediffmail. It might seem a bit old-fashioned to some, but it works perfectly for what we do. We spend our days looking at technical specs and figuring out solutions for various projects. It is mostly quiet work that requires a lot of focus. We don't have a receptionist or a big marketing team to answer the phones. Usually, it is just us sitting at our computers, checking the inbox and making sure we stay on top of the tasks for the week. We like it this way because it keeps the overhead low and things stay personal. Sometimes we get a lot of mail at once and it takes a day or two to get back to everyone, but we try our best. This isn't a high-pressure corporate environment. We just like to do a good job on the technical side and keep things moving without making a big fuss about it. Working from our own space means we can set our own pace, which usually results in fewer mistakes. If you need something, you just send a message and we will see what we can do. It is a very direct way of working that suits us.
