Naresh Auto Parts

Our shop, Naresh Auto Parts, is tucked away on the first floor of 391/A Badam Wadi, right here in the Grant Road area. It’s an old building, number 39, and you have to walk up the stairs to find us. Being on the first floor means we don't get much foot traffic from the street, but most of our customers already know where we are. The shelves are packed tight with all sorts of car components and engine parts. It’s a bit dark in some of the aisles because the windows are small, so we use a lot of tube lights. We spend a lot of time looking through old ledgers and catalogs to find the right part numbers for people. Grant Road is a hub for this kind of stuff, so there are many shops around, but we have our own way of doing things. We mostly deal with mechanics and people who like to fix their own vehicles. Sometimes it takes a while to find a specific item if it's buried at the back of a shelf. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly, so we rely on memory a lot. It’s a bit of a traditional way to run a business. The air outside is always full of exhaust fumes and the sounds of horns, but inside it’s just the smell of new rubber and metal. We’ve been in Badam Wadi for years and we just keep it simple every day.
