Nandan Textile

Nandan Textile is tucked away in the Universal Compound on Old Nagardas Road, specifically in the Mogra area of Andheri East. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s a good location once you get used to the shortcut. The compound is always full of activity, with people carrying rolls of cloth or loading up small trucks. Our space is packed tight with textiles of all kinds. You can barely see the walls for all the fabric samples and stock we have piled up. The air always smells a bit like cotton and dye. We don't have any fancy showrooms; if you want to see what we have, you just have to come into the warehouse and look through the stacks. It’s a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The sewing machines make a constant clatter during the peak hours, which can be quite loud if you aren't used to it. We’ve been in Andheri for years and have seen the neighborhood grow up around us. We have a small crew who knows their way around a loom and a needle. We don't go in for big speeches or lofty goals. We just make sure the fabric is right and the orders are packed properly. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually tired by the end of the day, but it’s what we know. We enjoy the bustle of the compound.
