We are over at Dhobi Talao, specifically in Palekar Chambers on 1st Marine Street. If you know the area, you know it's always packed. N. S. International has been here at number 12 for quite a long time. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, with the heavy doors and the high ceilings that don't really help with the humidity. We sit here and handle whatever comes across the desk. There’s always a lot of noise coming from the street, horns honking and people rushing to catch buses or trains. We mostly just focus on our own tasks. The office is a bit cluttered with files and folders because we don't like throwing things away if they might be useful later. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The delivery guys know the way up and they usually just walk right in. It’s a simple setup. We don’t go for anything flashy, just the desks and the chairs and the computers we need. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to wait a bit. We know the other people in the building and say hello in the mornings. It’s a tight-knit spot even though it’s so busy outside. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. Marine Street has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of that. The windows are usually open to let some air in.
