Muscle Xplode

We are over on Nehru Road in Vakola. It’s right across from the Vakola Police Chowki and the MTNL building, so we see a lot of police cars and vans going by all day. Santacruz East is a pretty loud part of Mumbai, especially with the airport nearby and all the traffic heading to the highway. Our place is simple. We have the usual weights and benches. It gets hot, so the fans are always on full blast. We spend a lot of time cleaning up sweat and moving plates around. It’s a bit of a gritty area, but we like it. The local guys come in and we know what they're working on. Sometimes we have to yell over the noise of the traffic outside. We don't have a lot of fancy amenities. It’s just a place to lift. We have a small desk where we keep the books and take the fees. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of work after the rains, but we handle it. We’ve been here for a while and the neighborhood knows us. It’s not a polished place, but it’s ours. We just keep the doors open and make sure everyone has what they need. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day, watching the cars crawl past on Nehru Road while we do our work inside. It's nothing fancy, just a room where people put in the effort.
