Muralo Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. is situated in the Sonawala Building on Bombay Samachar Marg. We are on the 2nd floor, which is Building No 65. Being right opposite the Stock Exchange in Fountain means the streets outside are always packed with people in a hurry. The building itself is one of those old Mumbai structures with high ceilings and a staircase that has seen better days. Our office has that old-school feel where the wooden floors creak when you walk to the back room. We have big windows that look out toward the street, but the noise of the honking cars is constant. It is a bit cramped inside because we have so many files and samples of chemicals tucked into every corner. The air is always a little humid, and we have the ceiling fans spinning at top speed from March until October. Working in the Fountain area has a specific rhythm to it. You get used to the crowds and the smell of the nearby food stalls. We don't have a modern glass entrance or anything like that. You just come up the stairs and find us at our desks, usually surrounded by stacks of ledgers and old telephones. It is a bit of a relic of a place, but it has character and it serves us well for our daily business.
