M/S Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd

M/S Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd is currently operating from the HCC Officers Quarters in Bandra West. We are in unit A 9. It is situated right across from the Reclamation Bus Depot, which is a very busy spot in Mumbai. The noise from the buses and the traffic is constant, but you stop noticing it after a few days. Our office is part of the living quarters for the project staff. It’s a bit cramped because we have stacked up years’ worth of files and blueprints from the Sea Link work. There is no receptionist or lobby area. It is just a few rooms with desks, computers, and a lot of half-empty tea cups. The sea air makes everything feel a bit damp, but it's a good place to be. We aren't corporate executives in suits. We are mostly engineers and project coordinators who have spent years on construction sites. We know the Mumbai roads well and we spend a lot of time dealing with the local authorities. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. We don't do much in the way of decoration. The walls are covered in project schedules and photos of the bridge. It is just where we manage the local operations and make sure things are moving as they should in this part of the city.
