If you’re near the President Hotel in Cuffe Parade, you’ll find us right nearby. We are at Shop No 14 on the ground floor. It’s a busy area, specifically on the 5th Cross and 5th Main in the 2nd Block. Being in the World Cuffe Parade area means there are always people walking by, but our shop has a more relaxed feel than the big hotels around us. We have all sorts of items on display, mostly things we’ve gathered over time. The shop floor is quite packed, so you have to walk carefully to see everything. We spend a lot of time rearranging the shelves because something new is always coming in. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but that’s part of the charm, I think. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The light coming in from the front window is quite nice in the mornings. We usually sit near the counter and talk to whoever walks in. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly just helping people find what they’re looking for and keeping the place tidy. The neighborhood is one of the older, nicer parts of the city, so it’s pleasant to walk around during our breaks. We’ve been here for a good while, and the shop has become a bit like a second home to us.
