Mr Amit Upendra Shastri

I am Amit Upendra Shastri. My office is basically my home in Vile Parle West. It’s Flat 104 in the Rinku Apartment building, over in Tagore Nagar. Vala is right nearby too. I’ve lived in this part of Mumbai for years. I decided to start this on my own because I didn't like the corporate life much. Working from home means I can set my own hours, though I usually end up working more than I should. The flat is a bit small but it works for me. I’ve got my desk set up in the main room. There are books and folders piled up on almost every surface. It looks messy to some, but I have my own system. Rinku Apartment is a quiet building mostly. Sometimes you hear the neighbors talking or someone cooking next door. It’s a nice change from a loud office block. I usually walk down to the local market for my lunch. People around here know me as the guy who stays in 104. I don't have any staff helping me. I handle every phone call and every letter myself. It takes time, but I like knowing exactly what is happening. The afternoon sun hits the balcony around three, which is when I usually take a break. It’s a simple, honest way to live. I don't need anything more than this setup to do what I do for people. My neighbors are friendly enough and they don't mind the occasional visitor.
