Motson Industries

We are located at 121 Adhyaru Industrial Estate, which is inside the Sunmill Compound in Lower Parel. It’s really close to the Lower Parel railway station, so we hear the trains going by all day long. The compound itself is an old place, and our unit has that classic industrial feel with high ceilings and sturdy walls. We’ve been here since before the area became full of fancy malls and glass buildings. Our workspace is strictly for work. We have rows of equipment and a small area where we keep all the logs and papers. It’s often a bit dusty because of all the movement in the estate, but we try our best to keep the actual machines clean. The walk from the station is short, but the lane gets really crowded with people and delivery bikes. We usually eat our lunch together at the big table in the back. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we all just do what’s needed to get the orders out on time. Sometimes the monsoon makes the old roof leak a little, so we have to move things around, but that’s just part of being in an old building. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. We just focus on the parts we make and make sure they’re done right before they leave the compound. It’s a busy, noisy life, but it suits us just fine.
