If you walk down Dr DVG Road 6 in Malad West, you’ll find us. This Monginis has been here for a bit, and it’s a small shop packed with cakes and snacks. It’s always a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once. We spend our days taking orders for birthdays and anniversaries. Writing on cakes with icing is harder than it looks, especially when your hands are shaking a little from too much coffee. The shop always smells like sugar and chocolate. We have these glass cases that we have to wipe down constantly because kids love to put their hands on them. Malad West is a lively place, and Dr DVG Road is no exception. We see parents picking up treats after school and people grabbing a quick puff on their way home. It’s not a corporate headquarters; it’s just a local cake shop. Sometimes we mix up an order or the delivery is late, and we have to apologize and make it right. That’s just part of running a shop like this. We like being part of the celebrations people have. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with boxes, but it’s okay. We’re just here on the corner doing our thing, making sure there is always something sweet ready on the shelf.
