This shop is situated on Dattmandir Road in Borivali West, right in the Dhanukarwadi area at number 11. It is a familiar spot for a lot of people who live around here. We open up the shutters pretty early to get things ready for the day. The main thing we do is keep the display cases stocked with cakes and savory snacks. It’s not a very big shop, so we have to be careful about how we move around behind the counter. On most days, we see the same people coming in, like parents picking up a treat for their kids after school. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure everything looks right on the shelves. Sometimes we have to deal with the heat or the noise from the traffic on Dattmandir Road. It can get a bit hectic during the festival seasons when everyone wants a cake at the same time. We don't really do anything fancy here, just straightforward work. We clean the floors every few hours and keep the glass wiped down. It’s a practical kind of place where you just come in, grab what you need, and go. We know our regulars by their orders, which makes the day go by a bit faster. There is always something to do, whether it’s answering the phone or boxing up a pastry for someone in a hurry. We’re just a regular neighborhood shop doing our thing.
