We are situated at the corner where Nanubhai Desai Road meets Udaynagara Road, right in the Charni Road area. It is an old part of town with a lot of history and very narrow streets. Dealing with the traffic around here can be a real headache sometimes, especially when the delivery trucks are trying to get through. Our shop is quite small, but we pack a lot into it. We start our day really early, usually before the sun is even up, to get the fresh stock in. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. You get to know people’s names and what they usually like to buy. The afternoons are usually the busiest when school lets out and people are heading home from work. It can get a bit chaotic with everyone trying to get served at once. We do our best to keep the line moving. The display cases always need cleaning, and there is always something to reorganize. It is just a regular neighborhood bakery feel here. We don't have any fancy seating, mostly just people picking things up to take away. Working on Charni Road means there is never a dull moment. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop running as best as we can. It’s a lot of sweeping and restocking throughout the day, but that’s just how it goes for us.
