We’ve been here at Masjid Bunder West near Race Course Road in Vadodara for a while now. Most days start early, usually around 9 or 10, depending on who has the keys. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. You can hear the traffic from the road outside all afternoon. We handle sales for a lot of different things, mostly just making sure the right people get the right products on time. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the fan clicking overhead. It gets quite hot here in the summers, so we keep the AC running as much as we can. Our team is small, just a handful of us who have lived in Vadodara most of our lives. We know the shortcuts around Masjid Bunder like the back of our hands. People drop by sometimes just to drop off papers or check on an order. We don’t have any big corporate rules, we just get the work done and go home to our families. Some of the ledgers are still kept by hand because that’s just how we started doing it years ago. It’s a busy spot but we like it here on the 9th floor area. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, new buildings going up while we just keep doing our daily routine. It's just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving.
