Al-kaizer Elevators

Our place is Shop No. 5 in the Baug E Rehmat Building. We are located on Plot No. 4 & 5, right across from the Amar Jyot Building near the Pooja Nagar Gate in Mira Road East. It’s a busy part of the suburb. We work on elevators, so you’ll usually find parts and cables lying around the shop floor. It isn't a place for people who like things to be perfectly clean. We’re often out on calls fixing lifts in the nearby apartment buildings. Elevators are tricky things, and they always seem to break down at the worst times. We spend a lot of our time climbing stairs to get to the motor rooms when the lift is stuck. Back at the shop, we keep a stock of the things we need most often. It’s just a small team of us. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or nice chairs. We just have a desk for the bills and a lot of shelf space for tools and greasy parts. Mira Road is a growing place, so there’s always a new building going up or an old one that needs its lift looked at. We don't make big promises or use fancy words. We just show up and try to get the elevator moving again. It’s simple work but it’s important for the people living in those high-rises. We’ve been here long enough that the local watchmen know us.
