If you head down to Kurla West, you can find Mir Auto Parts at Shop No. B-21 in Kismat Nagar, C.S. The shop is right in the middle of a very busy area where there are car parts everywhere you look. It is often greasy and smells like oil and old tires, but that is just the way an auto shop is supposed to be. We have shelves stacked high with all sorts of things, from small bolts to larger engine components. It is hard to keep it all clean because the dust from the road comes right in through the front. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or searching the back room for specific pieces that people need for their vehicles. The neighborhood is always loud with the sound of horns and people shouting, so you have to speak up when you come inside. We are usually here from early morning until late in the evening. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that move the hot air around. We don't do a lot of advertising because word of mouth in Kismat Nagar is usually enough to keep us busy. People know us and we know them. It is a straightforward business. We sell what we have and if we don't have it, we try to find out where to get it. It is a bit of a squeeze inside the shop but we make it work.
