Mintage World

Mintage World is located at Plot no.2-C in the Thakkar Industrial Estate. It’s right on N. M. Joshi Marg in Lower Parel East. This area used to be all mills, but now it’s a mix of everything. Our office is in one of those older industrial buildings that has a lot of history. You have to walk through the gate and find our section among all the other small businesses here. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it. We spend our time looking at old coins and paper money. It’s a lot of quiet work, staring at small details and cataloging things. The air conditioning sometimes struggles in the afternoon sun, so we keep a few desk fans going. We have piles of books and folders everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze inside. Most of us have been here for years and we know the layout by heart. The sounds of the street outside come in through the windows, but we get used to it. We aren't trying to be some big fancy company. We are just a group of people who really enjoy what we are doing with these old items. It’s interesting work, even if it’s just in a plain old industrial estate. Sometimes we get visitors who are lost looking for another office, but we don't mind. We just keep at our desks.
