You can find me over at Nikunj Chhaya, right in shop number eight. I’m sharing the space at Sai Shraddha. It is in Kandivali West, which is always a busy part of Mumbai. Dhanamal School is right nearby, so when the classes end, the whole street gets packed with kids and parents. It can be quite a scramble on Humu Kalani X Road at those times. My shop is not very big, but it is enough for what I need to do every day. I’ve been in this spot for a good while now. Most of the people around here know me by name. I don’t have a big team of employees or anything like that. It is mostly just me handling the customers and the stock. Sometimes a helper comes in to assist with the heavy lifting. The shop stays quite warm in the summer, but the ceiling fan does its best. I keep all my records in simple notebooks because I don’t like relying on computers for everything. It feels more reliable that way. Neighbors often stop by for a quick chat about the local news or the weather. It is a nice community to be a part of. I don’t use any fancy marketing tricks or big advertisements. People just come in because they know where I am and what I do. It’s a straightforward life. If you’re looking for me, it’s easiest to spot the school first and then head towards the building.
