We are over at 419 Gemstar Complex on Ramchandra Lane in Malad West. If you know Malad, you know how busy it gets around here. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space filled with electronics and testing gear. Mhatre Electronics has been around this part of Mumbai for quite a bit. There’s always someone soldering something or checking a circuit board. We have a lot of cables running across the floor, so you have to watch your step. The complex itself is full of different businesses, but we mostly stick to our corner. It gets pretty hot in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We do a lot of technical work that requires a bit of patience and steady hands. It isn't the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of us are in jeans and t-shirts. Ramchandra Lane is always a bit of a mess with the traffic, but we like it here. It’s close to everything we need. Sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble. We don't mind. The local shops nearby have good snacks for those long evenings. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the boards we put together actually work when they leave the door.
