MFR Electronic Components Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Seepz SEZ in Andheri East. We’re in Unit 40 of SDF-II. If you’ve ever been to Seepz, you know the drill with the security and the long walk from the gate. It’s a big place and can be quite confusing if you’re new. Our unit is basically a large room filled with workstations and storage racks. It’s not a place built for comfort, really. It’s built for getting things done. The lighting is bright and industrial, and there is always a low hum from the equipment. We start the day early because the Andheri traffic is a real headache. Most of us come in by bus or train and then walk the rest of the way. The building itself is a bit grey and old-fashioned, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and some work schedules. Lunch usually happens in the canteen or sometimes we just bring our own dabbas and sit together. It’s a simple routine. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations or anything like that. We just focus on the parts and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the shift. It gets pretty humid in Mumbai, so the fans are always on high speed. We’ve been in this unit for years now.
