Metro Residency

Metro Residency is located at R/2 in the Laxmi Narayan Shukla Chawl. We’re right in Durga Nagar, across from the MMRDA Complex on J.V. Link Road in Jogeshwari East. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed this area can get. We manage things from here, dealing with housing and making sure the residents have what they need. Living and working in a chawl area means you are always close to your neighbors. There’s no privacy really, but there’s a lot of community. We handle the day-to-day issues that come up, like water problems or repairs that need doing. It’s a lot of talking to people and trying to settle small disputes. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. It’s just a room where we keep our registers and take meetings. The J.V. Link Road is always noisy with traffic, but we’ve learned to tune it out. People come by at all hours if something goes wrong. We try to be helpful, even if we can't fix everything immediately. It’s a practical way of living and working. We’ve been in this spot for years, and we’ve seen the kids grow up and the buildings change. We aren't looking to move anywhere else. This is where we belong, right in the heart of Jogeshwari, doing our best to keep the residency running.
