Our place is over at 311 in the United Industrial Premises on Mogal Lane. Being in Mahim West means there is always something going on outside. The industrial estate is pretty busy, so there’s a constant sound of trucks and people moving things around. Metro Polymers has been in this unit for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s an industrial space, so it’s built for work, not for looking pretty. We have our machinery and our storage areas all set up the way we like them. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the layout. The staff here mostly takes the train in, since Mahim is easy to get to, and we usually grab tea from the stall just down the lane. There isn't a lot of "corporate" feel here. It’s more about the smell of materials and the sound of the equipment running. We have a small office section where the paperwork gets handled, but most of the action is on the floor. On rainy days, the sound on the roof is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of the place. It’s a hard-working environment, and we just keep our heads down and get the batches out as they are needed. Sometimes the power flutters, but we just reset things and keep going until the day is done.
