Kalyan East is a place where everything is always moving. We are located in Shivaji Colony, right at 3/1 on the Pune Link Road. This road is always packed with traffic, especially near Kolsewadi. Our office is a simple setup. It’s not a high-rise building; it’s just a ground-floor space where we handle all the Metecno business for this region. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them and the floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because it doesn't help with the work. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. Sometimes people from the nearby shops come in to borrow a tool or just to say hello. It feels like a small community here. The rain in Maharashtra can be very heavy, so we always have some leaks to worry about during July. We keep a stash of umbrellas near the door for the staff. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up, do the billing, check the supplies, and make sure everything is running okay. It’s a practical environment for practical people. When the sun goes down, we lock up the shutters and head to the station. It is a long commute for some of us, but that’s just part of working in this area.
