You can find us up in Office 303 of the Rainbow Chambers building, which sits right on S.V. Road in Kandivli West. Working at Meridian Paper Converter means we are always right in the middle of the heavy traffic and the noise of the city. The sounds of horns and people shouting from the street come right up to the third floor. Our office is usually filled with stacks of paper and the hum of the converting machines we use. It is not a very large space, so we have to be quite organized with how we pile things up or we would run out of room to walk. The elevator in Rainbow Chambers can be a bit slow some days, so many of us just end up using the stairs to get up and down. We spend most of our time checking measurements and making sure the paper is cut exactly how it needs to be. It is dusty work, and you often go home with little bits of paper stuck to your shoes and clothes. We do not have any big meetings or corporate stuff going on here. It is just a handful of us working at our desks or back by the machines. When the afternoon sun hits the windows, the office gets pretty warm, so we keep the fans going full speed. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the work is done properly before we head home.
