Our workshop is at 3/5, Atlas Mills Compound, right on Reay Road. It’s an old part of the city, and the building definitely shows its age. The walls are thick, and you can hear the trains passing nearby. We work with metals here. It’s hot, noisy, and dirty, but that’s just the nature of the job. We’ve got some big old machines that have been with us since we opened. They take a bit of coaxing to get started on cold mornings, but they do the job well. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we mostly just work with people who have known us for years. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, so you have to watch where you step. We have a small crew of guys who really know their way around a lathe. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to shout over the sound of the grinders until someone notices you. We drink a lot of tea to get through the afternoon. It’s a simple setup in a very old compound. We like the history of the place, even if the roof leaks a tiny bit when it pours. We just keep our heads down and get the metalwork finished. It’s been our home for a long time. We usually finish up when the sun goes down.
