Mehul Traders

Mehul Traders is located on the first floor of Gopal Niwas, which is building number 133 on Princes Street. If you know the area, you know how packed and busy Princes Street is every single day. We are in Room No 3, and to get here, you have to navigate the narrow stairs of the old building. It’s a traditional trading office. There are stacks of ledgers, samples of goods, and the smell of old paper. We don’t have air conditioning that works all the time, so the ceiling fans are always humming. From our window, we can hear the shouting of the street vendors and the honking of the delivery carts. It’s a lively place to be. We’ve been trading from this spot for a long time, and we know all the other traders in Gopal Niwas. The work is mostly about talking to customers, checking prices, and making sure the goods move on time. We don't have a receptionist; if you walk in, you’ll just see us working at our wooden desks. We take our tea breaks when there’s a lull in the foot traffic. It’s a very hands-on business. We don't use fancy software for everything; some of us still prefer writing things down in a notebook. It’s honest, hard work in the heart of a very old and busy trading district. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure our customers are looked after.
