Mehta Manmal Chenmalji & Co.

We are located at 87/89 Kika Street, right in the heart of Gulal Wadi in Bhuleshwar. It is a very old part of the city. If you’ve ever been here, you know how narrow the streets are and how crowded it gets with handcarts and people. Our shop is directly opposite the Bombay Metal Exchange Ltd., which makes it a bit easier for people to find us in the middle of all the chaos. The building is old, and we’ve been here for many years. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere. We have piles of metal and papers everywhere. It’s not a modern office by any means. There’s always someone coming in to chat or check on a price. We sit on old wooden stools and drink tea while we work. The fan overhead mostly just hums without doing much for the heat. We know all the other shopkeepers on Kika Street. We’ve seen generations of families running these businesses. It’s a lot of noise—shouting, horns, and the sound of metal being moved. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are. At Mehta Manmal Chenmalji & Co., we do things the old-fashioned way. We keep our records in big ledgers and talk to our customers face-to-face. It’s busy, it’s cramped, but it’s how we’ve always done it.
