Mehta Enterprises, Mumbai

Mehta Enterprises is the name of our shop. It is down on Nagdevi Street in Mumbai. We are in J. K. Chamber, specifically unit 24 at 77/83. This area is near Masjid Station West, and it is incredibly busy. You have to watch where you walk because of the handcarts and the crowds. Our shop has been here for a long time. We deal in hardware and industrial supplies. The shop is filled with the smell of metal and old paper. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It is a bit dark inside, but we know exactly where every bolt and tool is kept. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is still in our heads or in old ledgers. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo. Our customers are mostly regulars who have been coming to us for years. We sit on small stools and talk to people across the counter. The noise from the station and the street is constant, but we don't even notice it anymore. It is a traditional way of doing business. We open early and close late.
