We are located over in Andheri West, specifically on Veera Desai Road. Our office is on the first floor of Damji Shamji Udyog Bhavan, which is one of those old-school industrial buildings you see everywhere in this part of Mumbai. It’s room 101. Dealing with cladding materials means we have a lot of heavy samples lying around the place. The floor is usually covered in bits of stone or composite material. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the work happens. The staff here mostly talks about the commute because the road outside is always dug up for some reason. There’s a tea stall just around the corner where everyone goes at four o’clock. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk surrounded by files. It’s a lot of talking to builders and architects on the phone. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to carry things up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the neighborhood has changed so much around us, but our office stays pretty much the same. It’s just a practical space for a practical business. We don’t do anything flashy, we just manage the orders and make sure the cladding gets to the sites on time without any delays.
