Matteo Exim Private Limited is based out of the Om Shivai building which is located in the Devipada Lane area of Mumbai. It’s a bit different from working in a big commercial plaza because we are part of a housing society setup. It feels a lot more like a local neighborhood office where we know the people living around us. We are in unit G 201 and it is a pretty quiet spot compared to the main roads of the city. We do all our export and import work from here, mostly sitting at the desks and managing the logistics over the phone or email. It’s not a large team, just a few of us who have been working together for a while now. We don't have any fancy signage or a big reception area, just a functional space where we can get through the daily list of chores. Sometimes we have to head out to the ports or meet with suppliers, but this is where we do all the planning and the heavy lifting with the documents. The lane outside can be a bit narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache if you’re not used to it. We just prefer the practical side of things and don't really bother with the shiny corporate image that some other firms like to have. It’s just a normal office in a normal building where we do our best to keep things moving along every day.
