Maharaja Elastic

Maharaja Elastic is down at 56/70 Yusuf Meherali Road. It’s a tight spot in Masjid Bunder West, right near the Yuvraj Showroom. If you’ve ever walked around there, you know how crowded it gets with all the handcarts and people rushing. We have a small sign, but it’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. Being near Yuvraj Showroom helps people find us, though. The building is packed in with all the others on Yusuf Meherali Road. We spend most of our time inside the shop, surrounded by boxes and rolls of different materials. It’s dusty work sometimes. The street noise outside never really stops until very late at night. Masjid Bunder is just that kind of place, always moving. Our floors are concrete, and we have some old wooden shelves that have seen better days. There is a small fan in the corner that rattles when it’s on the high setting. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us here. Every morning we sweep the front and move some stock around to make space. It’s a very basic setup. 56/70 is where we do everything, from taking calls to packing up orders. The walls are painted a dull white that has turned a bit grey over the years. It’s not fancy, but it serves the purpose for Maharaja Elastic. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks without making a big fuss about anything.
