Our office is in Himalya House, right there on Palton Road across from the J.J. School of Arts. It is an old building with a lot of history, though the elevators can be a bit cranky some days. We deal with machine tools and have been doing it for a long time now. The rooms are mostly filled with stacks of catalogues and old files. We spend most of the day talking to factory owners or guys who need a specific part for a lathe. It is a lot of technical talk and looking up specifications in big books. We don't have a showroom with shiny machines on display; it is more of a place where the business gets handled. Palton Road is always crowded, so just getting to work in the morning can be a bit of a chore. We drink quite a lot of tea while we go through the daily orders. People often drop by with questions about a machine that isn't running right, and we try to help them find the right tool to fix it. We don't use fancy words or try to sell people things they don't need. It is just a regular office where we keep track of everything. We've been in this part of Mumbai for many years, and we like being in the middle of all the activity. It is a practical way to run things. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down.
