Maruti Architects

You can find us over in Kandivali West, specifically in Akruti Apartmen. We’re in Flat No B/306 in Tulsiwadi. It’s basically a converted apartment that we use as our workspace. It feels more like a home than an office, which we actually prefer. We have our computers in what used to be the living room and our archives in the back. Working out of Kandivali is convenient because a lot of our projects are nearby. We know the local builders and the way things get done around here. It’s a pretty straightforward setup. We don’t have a big budget for fancy office furniture, so we just use what works. Most days are spent looking at floor plans or talking to clients about their kitchens or balconies. We try to be realistic about what can be built, especially with the space constraints we often deal with. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring to make sure we don't make mistakes. We’ve been in this building for some time now and the neighbors are used to seeing people coming in and out with rolls of paper. It’s a small, honest operation. We just come in, do the work, and go home. That’s about all there is to it at our little office in Akruti. We usually have some music playing softly and there is always a stack of sketches that need looking at.
