Mars Embroideries

Mars Embroideries is located up on the 3rd floor of the Tijoriwala Bldg. It sits right at the corner of Grant Road, which is one of those places that never really goes quiet. To get to us, you have to walk up the stairs since it’s an older building with a lot of character and maybe a bit of dust in the corners. Once you’re inside, the rooms are usually filled with the sound of work being done. There are threads and bits of fabric all over the place because that is just the nature of what we do. It’s not a sterile environment at all. We have windows that look out over the street, and sometimes we just watch the traffic crawl by when we take a breather. The building itself has seen a lot of years, and you can tell by the way the floors look. We like being in this part of town though. Grant Road has a specific energy that keeps you moving. It’s convenient for getting supplies and everyone knows the landmark. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. We are more concerned with the actual work sitting on the machines. It is a tight-knit group here and we often share meals in the small back area. It’s a bit cramped, but it feels like home after all these years of working together.
