You can find us on Kaji Sayed Street in Mumbai, which is right in the middle of a very old and crowded trading district. Our office is on the second floor of the Balaji Kurpa Chamber. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how narrow it is and how much activity happens every single minute. There are always laborers carrying sacks and handcarts zigzagging through the crowd. Our building, Om Enterprise, is one of those classic Mumbai structures that has seen a lot of years. Inside, it’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to reach us. The office is packed with papers, ledgers, and the smell of the market from outside. We don't have a lot of space, so everything is tucked into corners. We spend our hours tracking shipments and talking to suppliers. The noise from the street never really stops, but we have learned to work right through it. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of place. We don't have fancy office furniture; most of it is old wood that has been around since we started. We drink our chai from the local vendor who comes by twice a day. It is a very traditional way of doing business in a part of the city that hasn't changed much in decades. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The energy of this street is what keeps us going through the long days.
