Our shop is at 241 Naman Plaza, right on S.V. Road near the Shoppers Stop in Kondivali West. It’s a busy area, so finding parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We’ve been dealing with furniture here for quite a while. It’s mostly tables, chairs, and cabinets. We have a small display area, but we can’t fit everything we have in there. Most of the time, we’re showing people catalogs or photos on our phones of what’s back in the warehouse. We aren't a fancy designer boutique. We just sell stuff that’s sturdy and looks okay in a normal house. The staff here consists of me, my cousin, and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and deliveries. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to figure out why a shipment is late. The lift in the building is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s a lively spot to work because there’s always people walking by on the main road. Sometimes we sit outside for a tea break and watch the traffic. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to the people who walk in and try to find what they need. It’s a straightforward business. We like the neighborhood and the regular faces we see every morning. The monsoons always make the street a bit messy.
