Manusa Architects

We have been running things from our office at A-2 on the ground floor of Building 26 for a good while now. It is tucked away in Sodawala Lane in Borivali West, Mumbai - 400092, right in the Govind Nagar area. It is a busy little spot, and being on the ground floor means we see a lot of the street life passing by every day. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and a lot of rolls of paper and old blueprints piled in the corners. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and going over the latest site requirements for the projects we have going on. Most of our work is about helping local people figure out their home layouts or helping small shops renovate. We don’t really do the big corporate pitch thing here. Usually, a client just sits down with us, and we look at their space together. Mumbai is so cramped that every inch matters, and we try our best to make it work. Sometimes we get stuck on a plan for hours, just trying to figure out where a pillar should go. It can be frustrating, especially when the regulations change, but we just deal with it as it comes. Our windows get a bit dusty from the road outside, and the phone rings more than we’d like, but it’s a living. We’re just regular people who happen to know a lot about buildings and permits. If you’re walking past the building in Borivali, you’ll probably see us through the window, usually hunched over a computer or a drawing board.
