You can find us over at Shop Number 14 in the D Wing of Shyam Kama, right in Vile Parle East. We’re in that Janta Nagar area, pretty much opposite the Parle International Hotel, so people usually find us without too much trouble. It’s a cozy little spot where we keep all the ornaments and jewelry pieces. Every morning, we open up the shutters, wipe down the glass counters, and start arranging the displays. It’s not a huge showroom, but it fits what we need. People from the neighborhood often drop by just to look or ask about repairs. We spend a lot of time looking at small details through those magnifying lenses, which can be a bit tiring on the eyes after a full day. The street outside is always buzzing because of the hotel guests and people heading to the station. We’ve been in this wing for a while, and we know most of the other shop owners around here. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a family comes in together, but we just pull up some extra stools. We handle a lot of gold and silver items, so we have to be quite careful with how everything is stored and logged every evening before we head home. It’s a lot of routine work, but it keeps the business running. We usually have our tea delivered from the shop at the corner.
