Manoharlalomprakash & Co. is located right in the heart of Chira Bazar. We are on the first floor of Odhavji Bhavan, specifically in Room 12. Getting here involves walking through the crowded streets of Girgaum Road, which are always full of people and noise. J.S.S. Road is never quiet, even in the afternoons. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the building has that old Mumbai charm where the walls are thick and the windows are tall. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and desks. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite a long time. The space is tight, especially when we have a lot of paperwork or samples lying around, but we’ve learned how to organize it. There’s a ceiling fan that’s been humming for years, and it keeps us cool enough. Most of the people who work here have known each other for a decade or more. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably see one of us on the phone or writing in a ledger. We keep things simple because that’s what we know. Lunch is usually a shared affair with dabbas from home. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We don't worry much about the decor as long as the work is handled. It’s just us doing our bit in a very busy part of the city.
