Universal Gifts

Universal Gifts is up on the third floor of the Beg Mohammed Building. We are in Room No. 63, so you have to walk up quite a few stairs since the building is old and doesn't have a big fancy lift. We are at 44 Memonwada Road which is right opposite the Mandvi Telephone Exchange. The whole area is very crowded with people selling things on the sidewalk and the Mandvi Post Office is just around the corner too. Our room is filled to the ceiling with all kinds of gift items and boxes. It is a bit of a maze inside and you have to be careful not to knock anything over. We spend the day unpacking new arrivals and sorting them into the shelves. It gets very hot up on the third floor during the summer months but we have a couple of fans running all day. We are not a giant department store. We are just a small wholesale spot in a very busy part of the city. People come to us when they need a lot of items for a party or a shop. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny storefront. We just stay here in the Beg Mohammed Building and wait for our regular customers to climb up the stairs. It is a simple life and we have been in this same room for a long time.
