Manav Traders

Manav Traders is located at 3, Lakhmidas Bhuvan, on V. V. Chandan Street. If you know the area, you know how packed those streets get. 88/92 is where we have our main room. It’s an old building, so the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. We’ve been here for years, dealing with general trading stuff. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking lists of what came in and what went out. We deal with a lot of different vendors. The street outside is always buzzing with handcarts and delivery bikes. It’s a bit of a maze getting inside sometimes. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, filled with boxes that we’ve labeled by hand. The ink on the labels usually fades after a few months. We use an old fan that wobbles when it’s on the highest setting. It doesn’t do much for the heat, but we are used to it by now. There’s a small sink in the corner where we wash our hands after handling the dusty crates. We don’t really do marketing or anything like that; people just know where to find us. Usually, there’s a stack of invoices on the main table that never seems to get smaller. We eat our lunch right there at the desks because there isn't really a separate break room. It’s just how we operate. It is a busy, cramped, and functional place.
